When you really get tired of fruit flies and the simple cleaning of your home shows no result, then put some extra efforts to either decrease their number or at least stop further multiplication. To start with, use a trap say you can take a bowl or any container, keep a piece of over-ripe fruit in the container and cover its mouth with a plastic or some transparent paper. Make tiny holes on this sheet. However, remember that the holes must be small enough so that the fruit flies can get in to it but cannot come out. When the trap is ready, identify the breeding ground of fruit flies in your home and keep the trap near it for sometime. You will certainly notice huge number of fruit flies in the trap. Now take the trap away from your home and destroy it. Repeat the process for some days and notice the decrease in the population of fruit flies at your home.
